adam-booth1Trainer and manager Adam Booth is the latest member of the boxing fraternity to share his views on the fight that may have never been; Floyd Mayweather Jr(47-0, 26KO’s) vs Manny Pacquiao(57-5-2, 38KO’s), set for May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

He told Kugan Cassius from iFL TV how he, like most others, feels this encounter has perhaps been delayed to the extent where the fighters may be diminished by the efforts of Father Time.

“Everyone agrees that if it had happened back when Pacquiao had had a couple of his stunning wins; he stopped De La Hoya, he knocked out Ricky Hatton, that was the peak for that fight. Everyone accepts we’re getting it well past it’s peak, but I see the result being the same probably just a slightly less intense affair.”

As to the who will win in this battle of aged champions:

“It’s an older version of the fight it would have been before and I see Mayweather comfortably outboxing him.”
