maxresdefault-6 March 7th will be a very important day for fight fans because world class boxing will make its long-awaited return to network television! For many years, fight fans have been forced to watch the best fighters in the world compete against one another on premier cable subscriptions, but thanks to the new Premier Boxing Champions series, that will no longer be the case.

On March 7th on NBC at 9 pm Eastern time, former three-division world champion Adrien Broner will take on former world title challenger and John Molina Jr. The bout will serve as the undercard for the explosive main event between Keith Thurman and Robert Guerrero. It will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Nevada.

John Molina (27-5 22KO’s) is about 5’10 in height and possesses a 71 inch reach. He has good size for a super lightweight and has knockout power in both hands. He fights in an exciting, aggressive style and loves to come forward and press the action. However, Molina certainly lacks talent and natural ability. He also throws many wide and sloppy punches and doesn’t possess much hand speed. He lacks any real head movement and is an easy target to hit. However, Molina remains a major threat to anyone he steps into the ring with because of his fight-ending punching power.

Adrien Broner (29-1 22KO’s) on the other hand is a rising superstar and already a three division world champion in three different weight classes. He is now on a quest to add a fourth world title to his collection. Broner possesses natural athleticism and quick hands. He also has good punching power and a decent chin. He is about 5’7 in height with a 69 ½ inch reach. Much like Molina, Broner loves to stand in front of his opponents and is always in entertaining fights.

Volume punching with conviction has proved to be effective against Broner because he tends to go into a defensive shell, and his work rate drastically decreases. Broner has trouble mixing offense and defense together. He is either defending or on the offense but can’t do both at the same time. However, aside from all the flash and the brash talk that Broner brings, he is a very gritty fighter with a lot of pride and is as mentally tuff as a fighter can be. Both of these fighters give one hundred percent each time they step into the ring, and they are both offensively minded. This may turn out to be one of the most explosive fights of the year!
