Chris Algieri’s boxing abilities have continued to develop throughout the years, despite his late start into the professional ranks. Algieri now has the opportunity of a lifetime in facing Manny Pacquiao. Algieri believes one of the underlying factors to his success is the continuous improvements through each of his fights.

Algieri’s expectation on November 22 is to give the best performance of his career thus far.

In an interview conducted by Dontae’s Boxing Nation, Algieri explained, “My style as a boxer has come a long way this year. We are really still adding new tools and developing. I was a different guy on June 14, and I’ll be a different guy on November 22. I came into the camp in fantastic shape, so we’ve been really trying to add to the game instead of trying to make up lost ground.”

Even though Algieri continues to progress as a boxer, Pacquiao remains an overwhelming favorite due to his speed and accuracy. Algieri plans to counteract Pacquiao’s greatest assets by disrupting his rhythm.

Algieri explained, “Manny is the king of in and out. He’s a fast and explosive guy, but he’s a rhythm fighter. Keeping him at the end of the jab and keep him in control and to offset his rhythm is the name of the game.”

If Algieri does in fact pull off the upset in Macau, China, it would surely be the greatest win of his professional career. It will be interesting to see if Algieri can unlock his true potential and deliver on November 22.
