download (1)Mike Alvarado was arrested early Saturday morning according to a report by the Denver Post. According to the report, Alvarado was stopped by police about 4:15 a.m. near the intersection of 19th and Stout Street after an officer found the car to have an expired registration.

Alvarado was said to be pushing something into the glove box when they approached the car police say per the court report. Officers ran Alvarado’s record and discovered that Alvarado was wanted on a felony warrant and a traffic offense out of Adams County.

The officers arrested Alvarado finding a Taurus handgun inside the glove box. Alvarado was released on $41,500 bond.

Alvarado has a big fight lined up with Brandon Rios this month but that should not affect the fight according to Alvarado’s manager. Henry Delgado.

“There’s no problem with the fight,” said Delgado. “As long as he’s out. And he’s been bailed out. The fight’s only in a few weeks. I don’t see that being a problem.

“But after that, I don’t know.”

This isn’t the first time Alvarado has been in the news before a big fight. Last year his truck was found in a Lake in Colorado and in 2013 before his second fight with Rios, Alvarado had gotten into a bar fight.
