When Teofimo Lopez caught Covid a few months back I was disappointed. I was really looking forward to his fight with George Kambosos and I was hyped looked forward to another fight on the card, Andy Vences – Jono Caroll.

I had followed Vences since early on in his career and got the opportunity to be ringside and see him fight at the Cache Creek Casino in Northern California. I had made sure to keep an eye on him and his career since that day and he has done well for himself. The opportunity to fight on the Lopez – Kambosos card was going to be another great opportunity especially with Lopez being such a hot commodity in boxing after defeating Vasyl Lomachenko.

Before the cancelation the two fighters ran into each shortly after the cancelation notice and it did not take long for the two to get heated.

Plans to reschedule the bout have surfaced as it was announced that the two will indeed fight on Triller but this time on the undercard to Oscar De La Hoya and Vitor Belfort. Should the tension still be high between these two it may become the best fight on the card especially since they are the only fighters still around the prime.
