Anthony Joshua’s Opponent Named

Anthony Joshua will face unbeaten Italian Emanuele Leo when he makes his professional boxing debut at the The O2 on Saturday October 5, live on Sky Sports.

The 32 year old from Southern Italy has won all eight of his pro bouts including three by knockout, and will fight the Olympic Super Heavyweight gold medallist in a six round fight.

Joshua’s pro debut against Leo is part of a star-studded line-up in Greenwich, as Scott Quigg faces Yoandris Salinas for the WBA World Super Bantamweight title.

British Lightweight World title contender Kevin Mitchell meets Marco Lopez for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental Lightweight title and unbeaten Welsh Featherweight star Lee Selby defends his British and Commonwealth titles against Ryan Walsh.

Joshua’s fellow Olympic gold medallist Luke Campbell will fight in his second pro bout on the bill, which also sees unbeaten Prizefighter champions Larry Ekundayo and Glenn Foot meet in a tasty Light Welterweight battle and another Prizefighter champion Wadi Camacho face Tony Conquest.
