Top Rank is prepared to continue their dominance in boxing, and they still maintain their position as one of boxing’s most prestigious promotions, despite the new competition over at Haymon Boxing. Al Haymon has really shifted the boxing landscape in just a matter of months, although his plans were in the works for years, maybe long before anyone realizes. The “PBC” series on network television is good for boxing regardless of promotion/network affiliation, but his mass stable freezes out those fighters that aren’t in it.

Regardless, Top Rank is well-prepared for all scenarios and their new TV deal with Tru TV is a step in the right direction, especially when it comes to developing young talent as they prepare for an HBO push.

Bob Arum spoke to Anthony “Rod” Rodriguez of Thaboxingvoice.com, and he specifically referenced Top Rank’s young stable as the primary reason that they will remain on top of the sport for the foreseeable future.

“We have the best young fighters going: Oscar Valdez, Felix Verdejo, Jose Ramirez, Jesse Hart, Gilberto Ramirez, and Vasyl Lomachenko. We’ll match our stable with any stable in the world, and of course Terence Crawford proved the quality of our collection of fighters [last weekend],” Arum told Thaboxngvoice.com.

The argument can be made that Crawford, who was victorious against Thomas Dulorme on HBO last Saturday, and Lomachenko, who is scheduled to appear on the Mayweather-Pacquiao undercard, are already two of the best fighters in their respective divisions.
