downloadLast Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, fight fans cried out robbery on social media on two bouts that aired on HBO. One of them involved a Jose Benavidez Jr. win over Mauricio Herrera. The other one involved a split decision draw with Timothy Bradley and Diego Chaves.

Tha Boxing Voice caught up with Bob Arum to seek out his perspective on these outcomes. Arum expressed, “I’m just so fed up with this whole system. It’s just really wrong. It was wrong from the get go to allow two cards in the same night.”

Arum went on to elaborate on the situation by stating, “The real problem is they only have enough judges in Nevada to go around for one card, and there’s two cards [The HBO Timothy Bradley vs. Diego Chaves card, and the Showtime Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander event]. So the argument was well they [the HBO fights] are not big cards. Because one fight is a 2,400 state arena, and the other card they are going to draw like 4,000 people. That is the problem. The problem is we [HBO] have three title fights. They [Showtime] have five big fights over there, and there’s not enough judges or referees to go around.”
