downloadBermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) is aiming to make his first title defense against the hard hitting, rising star Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs). The 36 year old Haitian veteran is currently listed as the underdog in many sports books, but implies with full confidence to all sports betters, they should bet the house on him.

Stiverne believes his experience will pay dividends in this much anticipated bout against “The Bronze Bomber”. Stiverne pointed towards Wilder’s resume and stated, “He’s fought nobody. This belt isn’t going anywhere on January 17. It is going to be a short night and it’s going to be painful.”

Stiverne expressed this to be his dream opportunity to defend his heavyweight title at the MGM Grand, and is driven by motivation from the youth who perceive him as a role model, and the people in Haiti who have supported him throughout his career.

Stiverne informed the press, despite Wilder never being passed four rounds in his professional career, he is not taking him lightly. One word of advice Stiverne gave to everyone who is going to tune is, “As far as a game plan, all I can say is don’t blink. Watch the action on January 17. I can show you better than I can tell you.”
