Gary Kopas (4-5-1, 1 KO) is a very talented fighter from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada despite what his record states. He has come up on the wrong end of decisions when he has been the clear winner and even though he is honest about how he feels being on that wrong end of those decisions he does not lose his cool and his talent is not going unnoticed.

After a long period of time and plenty of patience Kopas has the chance to achieve the goal that he set out for later this year.

On December 6th Kopas will fight for the Canadian 168 pound title in Edmonton, Alberta at the Shaw Conference Centre. The event is being put on by KO Promotions who has featured Kopas several times this year.

For Kopas it is a dream come true but he it was not just given to him, he had to work his ass off for it and when you work hard for something it means that much more to you. Saying that he leaves it all in the ring is an understatement.

Kopas made the announcement to friends and family via Facebook and the support he has received has been tremendous.

“Three years ago I met a wonderful chick and great kids that made me quit smoking. I started training again after a ten year layoff. Mentally I set a goal for myself to fight for the Canadian title. With the support of great family and friends, December 6th that goal becomes a reality.”
