Carl Frampton To Face Everth Briceño Of Nicaragua July 20th

Carl “The Jackal” Frampton (16-0, 11 KO’s) will fight Everth Briceño (35-8-2, 26 KO’s) of Nicaragua on July 20th instead of facing Fabian Oscar Orozco (20-3-2, 7 KO’s) from Argentina who was stopped in June in the second round.

Brisceño has not won a fight outside of Nicaragua in three attempts. He has fought for the WBO super flyweight title twice losing to Fernando Montiel and Omar Narvaez and was stopped by Leo Santa Cruz in 2011 in Argentina.

“I am in the best shape of my life right now. I am improving in training every day, sparring is great and I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills at Wembley on the 20th,” said Frampton.
The event will be headlined by a heavyweight bouot between Dereck ‘Del Boy’ Chisora and unbeaten American Malik Scott.
