Nicaraguan world title contender Carlos “Chocorroncito” Buitrago has yet to have a confirmed date for his next bout which will take place against Panamanian Walter Tello but has continued working hard to impress fans and matchmakers to put himself back in line for a world title opportunity after coming up short with a controversial draw that took place last year against Merlito Sabillo. Even though Buitrago put on a hell of a performance he still feels obliged to prove himself worthy of being a top fighter.

“I have an obligation to leave a good impression for my next fight because I want to compete and win a world title in 2014,” said Buitrago.

Buitrago believes that Tello will not be an opponent he will steamroll past but the experience that he gained against Sabillo along with speed and force will be key element’s to emerging victorious.

“Tello is a tough opponent but I have the ability to beat him. I think the fight I had in the Philippines taught me a great lesson and I will capitalize on the aspects that I did not in the last time around. Speed and force will be essential to victory on fight night and am very optimistic about my future and beating the Panamanian in emphatic fashion.”
