The Charlo twins (Jermell and Jermall) have been making noise in the boxing world for a while now and with a recent push by Stephen Espinoza they have begun to make even more noise.
Jermell’s victory on Saturday over Gabriel Rosado has thrown his name in the mix with top tier opponents and may be in for a title fight in his next bout or two.
Jermall will fight for a world title in March against the most difficult opponent in his young career when he steps in the ring with “King” Carlos Molina.
Stephen Espinoza of Showtime believes one of the reasons the Charlo’s are coming up is that they are not afraid to take tough fights and when they are offered a challenge they are ready to go.
“Both of the Charlo’s felt that they were ready to take the next step and they are guys that are really committed to taking tough fights just like everybody else,” said Espinoza. “When the opportunity came up they both said ‘sure no problem.’ We mentioned Rosado and Jermell was like no problem let’s go. Same with Jermall. He was like ‘I get to fight for a title, great!’ Now we gotta get the other brother a title shot too because they both deserve it. “
