Jack Culcay wants his title back! After the German’s rematch with Guido Nicolas Pitto for September 14 in Stuttgart, Germany fell out due to an injury of headlining WBO World Cruiserweight Champion Marco Huck, the fight has now been rescheduled. On October 26, the junior middleweight clash is going to take place in Oldenburg, Germany.

“It was a shock to me when I first heard about the cancellation for Stuttgart. I was already well prepared at that time,” said Culcay. However, after a week away from the gym, he started training again. “I have to take it as it comes. Now, I am looking forward to fight Pitto on October 26 and settle the score with him.”

Culcay and Pitto already faced each other this April in Hamburg. Back then, the Amateur World Champion of 2009 lost controversially on points against the man from Argentina. Together with his trainers Fritz Sdunek and Artur Grigorian as well as fitness coach Moritz Klatten, Culcay prepared himself intensively for the last few weeks. “I will be better in all aspects for the rematch,” he promised. “I want to take a big step forward with a clear-cut victory.”

A win against Pitto would not only spell the recapture of the WBA-Intercontinental Championship for Culcay, who turns 28 on September 26. Moreover, the prodigy of Fritz Sdunek would also regain a position in the top-15 of the WBA’s world rankings.

The main event on October 26 in Oldenburg will see Arthur Abraham trying to defend his WBO Intercontinental Championship. Tickets for the big fight night at the EWE ARENA can be purchased at www.eventim.de and www.boxen.com.
