Kyrone DavisKyrone “Shut It Down” Davis (8-0 4KO’s), fighting out of Wilmington Delaware, won his eighth professional fight at the Sands Casino in PA., in impressive fashion. T

he prized amateur Fully dominated and overwhelmed his opponent Jose Alberto Leal (9-8-1 6KO’s), who was touted to be a step up in competition for Kyrone.

In the first round, Kyrone rushed his opponent from the opening bell in an attempt to get his man out early.

He landed a sensational right hand after a flurry that floored Leal.

Although Leal rose from the knockdown, he was planted again by a hard body shot. Beating the count at eight, Leal got up again looking very weary, and Kyrone Davis put the finishing touches on his evening with a right hand. The knockout came officially at 2:13 in the first round.

Kyrone is raising his stock and is putting himself in a good position to become a household name. He seems to have power in both hands, and although he didn’t have to display defensive abilities, he has shown that is a part of his game as well.

He is willing to fight anyone in front of him, and with Al Haymon backing him, big things are sure to come.

The welterweight division is rich with talent and Kyrone has to make a good impression to start getting big names. He recently trained in the TMT gym with former three-division world champion Adrien Broner to help him prepare for Shawn Porter.

He showed power and speed. Even in his short display, there is something he can take out of this.

Beating a guy who has been in fights with tough competition against the likes of Yoshihiro Kamegai and Roberto Ortiz, Kyrone put himself amongst those that have passed this test, and went on to better things in the sport.
