Dec 6th is the date set for a middleweight show down between Gabriel Rosado and David Lemieux according to ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael. The bout is said to be a tripleheader taking place in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on HBO.
“Rosado and Lemieux is a good fight,” said De La Hoya, who promotes Rosado. “Lemieux is a tough son of a gun. He always comes forward and so does Rosado. Rosado gave Golovkin one of his better fights and he always comes to fight. Dec. 6 is going to determine who’s possibly the next opponent for Canelo, after Cinco de Mayo.”
For this fight Lemieux signed a one fight deal with Golden Boy.
According to Rafael’s report De La Hoya is also making a fight on that card between James De La Rosa and Hugo Centeno. Rounding out the tripleheader will be a bout with East LA’s Frankie Gomez and Puerto Rican adopted son Thomas Dulorme.
To close the year De La Hoya and Golden Boy has bouts lined up with Showtime and HBO, staying committed to what he has been preaching, working with different promoters and different networks.
