On Thursday afternoon, Dekada promotions held their weigh-ins for their first pro boxing card which is set to take place at the Genesis Centre on October 16th in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. All fighters have weighed in, and all fights are set are a go.
Rob Nichols (7-3-1, 4 KO’s) 218.5 lbs. – Emile Arsenault (9-3-2, 6 KO’s) 211 lbs.
Nichols last fought on August 21st, winning a spit decision against David Whittom in what is being regarded as one of Canada’s top fights of the year. Arsenault last fought on September 11th, losing a four round decision to Paul MacKenzie.
Lukasz Wierzbicki (7-0, 3 KO’s) 142.5 lbs. – Noel Mejia Rincon (14-6-1, 10 KO’s) 143 lbs.
Wierzbicki last fought on August 21st, winning via third round TKO and will be facing his most experienced opponent in Rincon. Rincon will be seeking redemption as he and his team were robbed of a victory the last time they fought in Canada.
Cam O’Connell (8-0-1, 5 KO’s) 135.5 lbs. – Csaba Toth (14-27-1, 9 KO’s) 133.5 lbs.
O’Connell will be looking to continue his winning ways after having the toughest fight of his last September against Randy Lozano. Toth is by far the most experienced fighter that O’Connell will have faced, but he is 1-4 in his last five fights and will be looking to secure a win against O’Connell.
