The waitlist for Demetrius Andrade in boxing is a long one. He is a name you don’t hear any of the other champions in the super middleweight division calling out.

Andrade was expecting a title unification bout against Billy Joe Saunders to happen but, with discussions of Saunders facing Canelo heating up, that plan seems to be off the table. Charlo is an option but Andrade says Charlo does not want the fight and he would happily unify against Murata. Not to mention he would more than likely keep his eye on this week’s fight between Caleb Plant and Caleb Truax.

Andrade has been out of the gym and has put on some weight. Should any of these fights not get made then he would consider retirement.

“I just may say FU to boxing,” Tweeted Andrade. “Ain’t done shit for me! Haven’t been in the gym in 3 months!!! Over 200 right now.”
