Eddie Mustafa MuhammadEddie Mustafa Muhammad is a resident of the Floyd Mayweather Boxing Gym in Las Vegas. He has seen firsthand the work Mayweather puts in on a day to day basis. Before the fight was made with Manny Pacquiao, a lot of the reasoning for the fight not happening was because Mayweather was afraid of Pacquiao. Now that the fight has been made, some are saying Mayweather was forced into the fight.

It’s all funny to Mohammad.

“They have nothing else to talk about on the positive side, so they are going to go negative,” Mohammad told Dontae’s Boxing Nation. “Floyd’s not scared of anybody. I mean what is he 47-0, he’s not scared of anybody. He’s going to handle his business. He comes in every day and puts that work on; he can’t wait for the fight.”

The resident trainer of the Mayweather Boxing Gym says Mayweather would be ready for this fight today if need be.

“Every time I see him, he’s smiling,” said the trainer. “Floyd is a professional. This is what he does for a living. So what that means he’s always physically and mentally ready to fight at all time and at all hours. He puts in work every day, goes to sleep, does it all over again.”

As for a prediction for the fight, Mohamed says he’s got Mayweather by whatever he wants, depending on how Floyd pushes the tempo.

“It’s up to Floyd,” said Mohammad. “Floyd can beat him up in every round. Or if he wants to step up to the plate and knock him out, he can too. I respect Manny for taking the fight, but the utmost respect for Floyd, I’m just telling you how I feel. It’s up to Floyd; whether he wants to turn it up or take it rounds.”
