CS-qzQaWIAAnq6DErica “La Pantera” Farias (22-1, 10 KO’s) has been making headlines quite frequently lately after she had spoken out about UFC women’s champion Ronda Rousey appearing on the cover of The Ring Magazine.

Farias opened up on the subject of Rousey stating that Rousey is a bird that fights in a cage and even addressed that former pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather was disrespected by Rousey. Farias had even gone on record to issue a challenge Rousey to a boxing match. With no response from Rousey, you would figure that the talks would settle but they are still very much alive.

Recently, Canal De Boxeo (cdb.tv) uploaded a video to YouTube debating on a potential fight between Farias and Rousey and whether Farias could actually beat Rousey in a fight. Farias answered the question for CDB this morning and is certain that Rousey would not last long in a boxing match with her.

“The debate has started if I could beat Ronda Rousey. Rest assured, she would not last three rounds against me,” Farias stated via social media.

It is very possible that Rousey could make the switch over to boxing. She has admitted that she has been focusing on boxing more in her training and with Oscar De La Hoya showing interest in promoting her we may just see her jump ship.

“I’ve really fallen in love with boxing in the process of doing MMA,” Rousey stated to UFC.com. “I’ve stopped doing judo at all. I haven’t put on a gi and done judo since I started MMA. I do boxing almost all the time. It would be impossible to spend so much time on something and not fall in love with it. I want to be more involved in the sport.”

Should Rousey turn to boxing will Farias’ challenge be answered or will Rousey take another route?
