Andrey Fedosov Lenroy ThomasAndrey Fedosov (27-3, 22KOs) and Lenroy Thomas met in the first semi final fight of the night in the heavyweight Boxcino tournament.

Thomas (19-4, 9KOs) was the heavy underdog heading into this bout, but he ended up starting hot in the fight by scoring a knockdown in the first round. It was a beautiful left hand behind the jab from the southpaw, but it was set up well with an uppercut to the body. Fedosov was able to make it off the canvas and it was clear that he wasn’t hurt.

Fedosov desperately wanted to make up the lost ground, but it gave Thomas some opportunities to use his long arms.

Fedosov’s pressure began to overwhelm Thomas and by the 3rd round he was in full seek and destroy mode. Thomas didn’t have an answer for the pressure and found himself with his back against the ropes. Fedosov turned up the heat and landed punches in bunches that sent Thomas to the ground. Thomas was clearly effected and was unable to make it to his feet.

Fedosov will now move on to the Boxcino heavyweight finals.
