Maurice Lee is a 4-0 professional fighter in the lightweight divison, and he is one of the better prospects at the Mayweather Gym. He was supposed to fight today on the Porter-Broner undercard, but his opponent pulled out at the last minute, which is an all too frequent occurrence at the stage Lee is in.

Lee has been one of Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s main sparring partners as of late, a role that he’s grown into over the past year or so.

Lee has been so impressive that Mayweather decided to sign him to his promotional company. The signing took place three weeks ago, this according to the fighter himself.

“I just got signed to Mayweather Promotions. They got me set up to fight a lot. You’ll be seeing a lot of me. They’re treating me real good,” Lee told Nestor Gibbs of Thaboxingvoice.

He might only be 4-0, but he possesses some real talent. Keep your eye on him as he makes his way, and you will certainly get the opportunity as rumors continue to circulate about a potential deal between Mayweather Promotions and network television, although some speculation suggests he will just fill some “PBC” spots on Al Haymon’s dime.
