I got a chance to catch up with Junior Middleweight Prospect Frank Galarza today. He was gracious enough to answer a few questions for me to give us a quick update after his fight Friday night. Here is what he had to say, about his performance, the cut he sustained, and the possible future.

How deep is the cut how long do you expect to be out?

“Not so deep, but I am out for like 2 months.”

I thought you had a good performance, you used your jab, counter-punching skill and lateral movement how would you grade yourself?

“I would give myself a C, I still have a lot of work to do.”

How about a fight with you and Boyd Melson in 2014 or 2015, you are both popular prospect from the NYC area, you are both with Lou Di Bella it’s a fight that there would be interest in?

“I don’t think I would take that fight, I like Boyd.”
