With the cancellation of Guillermo Rigondeaux’s latest fight, his promoters, Caribe Promotions are in search of a meaningful fight to get their fighter back on network TV and show that he can beat the top guys in the sport. The fighter they have in their sights, Jhonny Gonzalez.
With Gonzalez’ demolition of fan friendly fighter Jorge Arce over a week ago and his one round destruction of Abner Mares last year it would be the type of fight that Rigondeaux and his team would be looking for to get back into the spotlight.
