New York, NY (9/6/13) – After successfully making her pro debut in an absolute barnburner on his Broadway Boxing card on August 2, 2012, Lou DiBella immediately took notice of Brooklyn’s good-looking, charismatic, Irish-American Heather Hardy.

Now just a little over a year later, Hardy’s record stands at a perfect 6-0, 1KO, and her fan base has continued to grow, making her one of the most popular attractions in the entire New York boxing scene.

Having worked with a number of female fighters in the past, particularly fan favorites Sonya Lamonakis and Keisher McLeod-Wells, DiBella has officially signed Hardy, a former New York Golden Gloves champion, to an exclusive long-term contract.

“I have become a believer in women’s boxing because of the hard work, dedication and excellence of boxing’s female athletes. I am proud to sign Heather Hardy to a long-termpromotional agreement. She has the ability, the story and the intangibles to be a legitimate star in the biggest media market in the world. I believe that Heather can be New York City’s breakthrough female fighter,” proclaimed DiBella.

“Boxing is my passion, but the fight in the ring is only one aspect. It takes hard work and constant dedication to see progress, like everything in life. Thanks to Lou DiBella I got the chance to perform in front of my family, friends and my city. I appreciate the opportunity, and I promise to continue the hard work that’s needed to fulfill my dream of becoming a world champion”

Hardy’scareer has blossomed since her debut last summer. Her life and career have been well documented throughout the major NY media. In July, a huge feature story came out in the NY Daily News that chronicled the last few years of her life, which saw both Heather and her mother losing their homes. Heather’s home was devastated in a fire while her mother’s house was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. However, Hardy’s fighting spirit has helped her to keep a positive outlook on life throughout these hardships. Now Hardy has her sites set on achieving her ultimate goal, winning a world championship.

The female junior featherweight will be in action on the upcoming “Big Apple Boxing” card on Monday, September 16, at Resorts World Casino NYC, in Queens, NY. The card is promoted by SMS Promotions and DiBella Entertainment, and sponsored by SMS Audio.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and are priced at $125, $85, $65 and $45.  Tickets are available for purchase by calling Resorts World Casino NYC at (718) 215-2828, or by visiting: http://www.etix.com/ticket/online/venueSearch.jsp?venue_id=9244
