London (May 25) Heavyweight star Hughie Fury recorded his fourth straight win and third stoppage, clubbing former K1 experienced Janos Finfera into submission.
Hughie has now fought four times in four different countries since his debut in March and is looking to build his experience.
In the only boxing contest of the evening on the Klash Series event, which included Kempo kickboxing and MMA, in Timisoara, Romania, Hughie looked to make a big impression and he certainly delivered.
The 6’7″ teenager looked confident and composed, using his superior reach to land stiff left jabs and control the pace from the opening bell.
As Finfera looked to get on the inside, Hughie began to pick him off at will, landing lefts and solid rights.
Finfera threw wild shots at Hughie, whose movement and size was clearly too much for the former K1 experienced man.
A fierce right uppercut wobbled Finfera before a flurry of lefts and rights to the body doubled him over for an eight-count and as Hughie moved in to finish, the bell rang to end the first round.
Moving into the second Hughie continued to pick off his opponent at will and another flurry of powerful lefts and rights to the body gave Finfera another eight-count.
Hughie, sensing that he could finish, saw Finfera trying to cover up the left side of his body and targeted the area with solid right hands, leaving his latest opponent on the canvas and him with a third stoppage in four fights
“I hit him with a shot to the solar-plexus and he bent to the side, so I put two in,” Hughie said.
