Promociones Del Pueblo has been hard at work to bring one of the most anticipated fights in women’s boxing to life. WBC women’s 108 pound champion Ibeth “Roca” Zamora will face off against WBC women’s 108 pound silver champion Yesica “Kika” Chavez to determine who will reign as the queen of the division. Last week WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman approved the title fight between the Mexican fighters.
Zamora last fought in April winning a unanimous decision over Judith Rodriguez but her most notable fight/victory was a unanimous decision victory over Ava Knight last October.
Chavez last fight took place last October as well winning a unanimous decision over Tenkai Tsunami and has notable victories over Yesica Bopp and Irma Sanchez.
