PHOENIX — April 22, 2014 — In February, Iron Boy Promotions’ Iron Boy 11 left a sold-out crowd reeling, with its electric atmosphere and exciting bouts.  Iron Boy Promotions intends to do it again this Saturday night at Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona with nine scheduled bouts, culminating in a main event featuring Arizona’s Joey “Boxer” Ruelas (7-0-1, 3KO).  The free, high definition web stream of Iron Boy 11 was a hit with online viewers, and Iron Boy Promotions will once again offer the fights live and free at www.iron-boy.com beginning at 8 p.m. on fight night.

Iron Boy Promotions is honored to announce that former WBA Light Middleweight Champion, Austin “No Doubt” Trout will be on hand to support Siju “Juice” Shabazz (3-1, 3KO) in his co-main event bout against Rollin Williams (23-16-2 8KO).  This compelling match-up features former Las Cruces, New Mexico resident Shabazz, who was an Olympic alternate in 2008 and led a highly accomplished amateur career, against a very seasoned veteran in Williams. Williams, who faced Roy Jones, Jr. during the course of his 41professional fights, is coming out of retirement to face Shabazz.   Said Trout about Shabazz, “Me and Siju met in high school. It’s funny because he was playing football, and they were boxing in the locker room. Siju was knocking everyone out.  A mutual friend of ours, who was kind of an instigator, told Siju, ‘You couldn’t knockout Austin.’  He’s the type of person who if you say you can’t do something he’s going to try to do it.  We got some gloves and went at it in my living room.  He came to the gym the next day and he’s been doing it ever since.”  On supporting Shabazz in Arizona, “I’m coming out to support my man in the next step of his career, and I thank Iron Boy for putting on a show.  It’s the second time Siju’s been able to fight on their card, and that’s what boxing needs all over America. People are relying on the top fighters to get on TV.  We’re losing the hometown heroes because of it.  I think hometown heroes is what made boxing what it is today.”

Veteran referee Tony Weeks, who began his career as a referee in Arizona, will return to Phoenix to officiate the main event bout on fight night.  Weeks has been the referee in over 60 world title bouts during the course of his 19-year career spanning Arizona and Nevada.  He most recently officiated the WBA and IBO Light Welterweight title bout between Jessie Vargas and Khabib Allakhverdiev on the undercard of Pacquiao-Bradley 2 on HBO PPV.

Also on the card, Francisco De Vaca (5-0, 3KO) faces Chandler’s Rafael Rivera (1-6, 0KO).  De Vaca’s fan-friendly style has garnered many fans both in Arizona, and among those watching on the live stream broadcasts.  Edgar Brito (1-0-1, 1KO) faces New Mexico’s Jesus Pacheco (1-3, 0KO), and Cameron Dunkin signed prospect Alexis Zazueta (2-0, 2KO) faces Mexico’s Juan Carlos Diaz (debut).

Said Roberto Vargas, Iron Boy Promotions President, “We are excited to continue the momentum we’ve built over eleven shows. To continue to showcase the best Arizona has to offer, both on a local and International platform.  We are also honored to have Tony Weeks and Austin Trout joining us for the card on Saturday as well.”

The Iron Boy 12 Official Weigh-in will be at Crescent Crown Distributing in Mesa, Arizona at 5:30 on Friday, April 25th.

Tickets for the event may be purchased at www.iron-boy.com or at the Celebrity Theatre box office. Doors open at 5 p.m. on April 26th, first bell is at 6 p.m.  The live stream portion of the evening will begin at 8 p.m. PST at www.iron-boy.com
