Jelena Mrdjenovich To Face Fatuma Zarika On March 1st In Edmonton

    Six time women’s world champion and current  WBC featherweight champion Jelena Mrdjenovich (31-9-1, 16 KO’s) will step into the ring for the first time this year on March 1st when she makes a move up in weight taking on Fatuma Zarika (24-7-1, 14 KO’s) of Kenya in a ten round super featherweight bout.

    Mrdjenovich last fought in December when she KO’d Wanda Peña Ozuna within 39 seconds of round 1 of their bout.

    Zarika will be returning to the ring for the first time since May of last year and is making the trip for her first pro fight ever in Canada.
