Edmonton fighter and six time women’s world champion Jelena Mrdjenovich has piled up a great list of accomplishments since her pro career began in 2003 and she hasn’t seemed to slow down a bit and most recently added the Edmonton Combative Sports Commission (ECSC) boxer of the year award.

Mrdjenovich had a spectacular year in 2013 and went undefeated but the icing on the cake had to of been her victory over Melissa Hernandez to claim the women’s WBC featherweight title which was selected as the women’s fight of the year by The Ring Magazine.

As for 2014, Mrdjenovich is off to a great start and if she continues on the same path that she is on she could more than likely win the award again next year.
