Super bantamweight top prospect Jesse Magdaleno (11-0, 8 KO), squares off against José Silverio (12-8, 4 KOs) on the undercard of Vanes Martirosyan vs. Erislandy Lara on November 10 in an HBO main event, Promoted by Top Rank®, in association with Tecate and Wynn Las Vegas, Magdaleno prospect on the fast track making a name for himself with impressive wins on ESPN and Showtime/ShoBox staying busy with four wins, three coming by way of knock out. Magdaleno’s handlers are putting much faith in the young talented pugilist as he has this fight tomorrow and another schedule for December 7, 2012 which would make it the sixth fight for Magdaleno this year alone.

Magdaleno (11-0, 8 KOs), of Las Vegas, NV., was an accomplished amateur fighter, having won gold medals at the 2009 U.S. National Championships and the 2009 National Golden Gloves Championships en route to a 120-16 record. For this very reason we’ve featured him on our prospect to watch list and this is just a reminder to everyone to be tuned in to his fight as he is bringing much excitement to his division.

Magdaleno, 20, likely has the higher upside because he makes exciting fights between he and his brother Diego, but he’s not as polished yet and hasn’t faced the same level of opponents. Offensively, he’s a beast. Defensively, we haven’t seen him have to do anything to date. Until tested there’s still questions to be answered but until then he makes for great TV. The networks should do right by him to continue to showcase his career in the growing pains because in my opinion he has the making of a star.
