Goossen Promotions closes out the 2014 boxing year in style this Saturday night, Dec. 20 with LITTLE CREEK BRAWL VI, an action packed 10-bout card headed by four outstanding televised fights from the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, Wash and telecast on a SHOWTIME BOXING: Special Edition.
The last month has been a busy time for the Sherman Oaks, Calif. based company with three events crossing the West Coast. On Nov. 20, Goossen Promotions returned to their home of numerous Los Angeles based fight cards with “LIVE AT THE LODGE”, a terrific evening at the Sportsmen’s Lodgein Studio City.
Last Thursday night, Dec. 11 a packed house at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula, California was entertained by a long list of former world champions seeing action including AUSTIN TROUT, RICO RAMOS, ANTONIO TARVER and SERGIO MORA along with a host of top prospects includingMARCUS BROWNE, DOMINIC BREAZEALE, GERALD WASHINGTON, TERRELL GAUSHA, AHMED ELBIALI and VATCH MARTIROSYAN.

Headlining this Saturday night’s card, hard hitting JESUS ‘El Jinete’ CUELLAR,
(25-1, 19 KOs) of Buenos Aires, Argentina will defend his World Boxing Association (‘WBA’) Interim Featherweight Championship against RUBEN TAMAYO (23-4-4, 15 KOs) of Ciudad Obregon, Mexico in a scheduled 12-rounder.
Co-featured will be hotly tipped Philadelphia prospect JULIAN ‘J Rock’ WILLIAMS
(17-0-1, 10KOs) facing JAMAR FREEMAN (13-3-2, 7KOs) for the World Boxing Council (‘WBC’) Continental Americas Championship.
Just added to the TV-portion of the card, former world title challenger, ‘MR.’ GARY RUSSELL JR. (24-1-0, 14KOs), of Washington, D.C. squares off against Chula Vista, California native CHRISTOPHER ‘S.D. Kid’ MARTIN (28-4-3, 9KOs).
Opening the telecast is an outstanding 10-round super middleweight clash between JULIUS ‘The Chef’ JACKSON (18-0-0, 14KOs) of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and once-beaten JONATHAN NELSON (20-1-0, of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The late-addition to the 2014 boxing calendar – and the fourth and final of back-to-back SHOWTIME boxing telecasts on consecutive weekends – will air live on SHOWTIME EXTREME at 9 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast.
