February 2020 was the last time we saw Jorge Linares step foot in a ring. It’s been a while and “El Niño De Oro” is itching to get back in there but where does he fit in in the mix?

Linares was supposed to fight Ryan Garcia but that fight never happened. Garcia and Linares are both signed with Golden Boy Promotions so it could happen but it is a fight Linares feels Garcia is not ready for.

“No estás ready para pelear conmigo Niño (you’re not ready to fight me kid),” Linares Tweeted Garcia after Garcia’s stoppage of Luke Campbell.

Linares still with no one to fight Tweeted Golden Boy and Oscar De La Hoya five days later checking in to see what they have in store for him next.

“Still waiting for my fight… Golden Boy who is next ?! Oscar?”
