Jose Alfaro Forced To Withdraw From Title Bout In Austraulia Due To Immigration Issues

Former WBA lightweight champion Jose “Quiebra Jicara” Alfaro of Nicaragua was scheduled to fight on Saturday July 6th in Australia against Daud Cino Yordan for the vacant IBO lightweight title but had to withdraw from the bout due to immigration issues. Instead Yordan will face off against Daniel Eduardo Brizuela from Argentina.
This could not have come at a worse time for Alfaro who last fought to a draw last September against Wiston Campos.
