Jose Luis Castillo Jr., son of the Mexican warrior that gave Floyd Mayweather the greatest challenge in his career and had tremendous fights with the late Diego “Chico” Corrales, will return to the ring on June 28th in Tijuana Mexico against an opponent yet to be determined.

Jr. has been training at home with local fighters but on June 13th began his travel to Mexicali to spar with his uncle and some other fighters there to continue his preparation. He is scheduled to arrive in Tijuana on Tuesday.

Castillo plans on staying busy in hopes of landing on the undercard of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.’s ring return in August and fight once more in September.

Plans for a U.S. debut are also in the works so that he may continue to provide new chapters to the Castillo legacy.
