In November of 2020 Josh Wagner made his return to the ring after a five year layoff when he took on Raphael Courchesne. Wagner was not supposed to win after so much time away from the ring and a loss against Courchesne would have looked horrible for him but good for his opponent considering they were both undefeated. Instead Wagner flipped the script and played the role of spoiler and “The Boss” was back with a solid victory under his belt.

Wagner did not want to stop there as fighting is like a drug. Once you take a hit you’re looking forward to the next so it came as no surprise when he had another fight lined up just a few months after his return.

Wagner was set to take on Artem Oganesyan of Russia. It would be once again be a battle of undefeated prospects but Covid shut everything down close to the fight date. Disappointment set in but it was just around four months Wagner had wait to get his next opportunity and he’s definitely pumped for the opportunity to be able to showcase himself in front of a broader audience.

“Well it’s on,” stated Wagner via social media. “August 7th I will be taking on Jeffery Torres (7-0) in Massachusetts, live on UFC Fight Pass! I will remain undefeated! I was built for this!”
