On October 12th the house was packed and fans were on their feet cheering at the Hard Rock Hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico as Julio “Pollito” Ceja , Mariana “La Barbie” Juarez and Juan “Churritos” Hernandez secured victories.
Ceja (25-1, 22 KO’s) went to war with Juan Jose “Goofy” Montes (23-4-2, 14 KO’s) to win the vacant WBC silver bantamweight title via 10th round TKO.
Ceja was deducted a point when he went all out on the attack and his head collided with Montes which resulted in a point deduction.
In the 10th round Ceja landed some monstrous shots which resulted in the fight being stopped giving Ceja the victory.
One of Mexico’s biggest female fighters came out on top yet once again when Mariana Juarez (38-7-3, 16 KO’s) defended her WBC International female super flyweight title against Buakaew OnesongchaiGym (6-2-1).
Juarez overwhelmed and continuously beat on OnesongchaGym throughtout the fight. Juarez continuously invited her opponent to come and attack her but it was no use. At the end of the fight all 3 judges gave Juarez the decision and her quest to win another world title continues.
Juan “Churritos| Hernandez (23-3, 16 KO’s) came out victorious over Saul “Baby” Juarez (18-3, 11 KO’s).
