1335919798_IMG_3126Lightweight prospect Karl Dargan (18-0, 8 KOs) is scheduled to fight for the NABF junior lightweight championship September 20 at the Foxwoods Resort in Mashantucket, Connecticut.

Dargan had a few choice words to say about Sergey Kovalev’s (25-0-1, 23 KOs) chances against Bernard Hopkins (55-6-2, 32 KOs). The two are scheduled to clash for the WBA, IBF, WBO light heavyweight titles November 8 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Dargan picks Hopkins to win and says, “Gotta go with being smart.”

“Kovalev has exceptional power.  Just because he has power doesn’t mean he’s smart.”

The Philadelphia native went on the say, “Bernard is one of the best defensive fighters in history. That’s my friend and I believe he’s gonna win by any means.”

Many in the boxing world were pleasantly surprised when Hopkins announced he was taking on Kovalev. The 49 years old Hopkins will have his hands full that night with the Russian fighter. Kovalev is undefeated winning most of his fight by knockout within 3 rounds.
