Welterweight World title challenger Kell Brook performed the draw for the Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III at the Civic Hall in Wolverhampton on Saturday January 19, with Mark Thompson and Rob Hunt kicking off the action live on Sky Sports.

The Special One challenges Devon Alexander for the IBF crown in Detroit on February 23 and took time out of his training to decide the fate of the eight contenders in the 28th edition of Matchroom Sport’s eight-man, one night tournaments.

The winner of Thompson and Hunt’s opening quarter-final will face either Welshman Dale Evans or 19 year old Sam Eggington in the first semi-final – the youngest ever boxer in Prizefighter.

The third quarter-final pits Chad Gaynor against Calum Cooper and they box for the right to face either Steven Pearce or Glenn Foot in the second semi-final.

Britain’s hottest young star Kal Yafai faces Mexican Gonzalo Garcia in an eight-round clash in between the semi-finals of Prizefighter.

VIP and Ringside tickets for Yafai and the Betfair Prizefighter Welterweights III are sold out with a limited number of £40 unreserved tickets available – tickets can be bought online at www.matchroomboxing.com or on 01277 359900.
