Kell BrookKell Brook (35-0-24KO’S) is looking for a big fight for the summer.  Since his last stint in America to actually win the IBF welterweight championship from Shawn Porter Brook has held the belt hostage in his native England.  Most likely in hopes to have a mega showdown with Amir Khan but those efforts have been futile, to say the least as Khan has yet to really show interest in wanting the fight.  Also failed shots at fights with Tim Bradley and Diego Chaves have left options kind of thin for Kell Brook at the moment.  Brook is currently training for his March matchup with Kevin Bizier which is a mandatory title defense, but surely isn’t the big name Brook has been looking for his last three fights.

Also, failed shots at fights with Tim Bradley and Diego Chaves have left options kind of thin for Kell Brook at the moment.  Brook is currently training for his March matchup with Kevin Bizier which is a mandatory title defense, but surely isn’t the big name Brook has been looking for his last three fights.

Brook spoke to the “Sheffield Star” about the options that should spawn should he beat Bizier March 26th.  Brook said, “After Bizier I expect something concrete quite quickly, ideally I’d like to know who it is or that we are close to making an offer, when I am sat on the apron immediately after Bizier.”

He continued by naming some interesting matchups for himself.

“It has been a long road but I am excited to get rid of the mandatory and thing should open up for me.  We will start pressing and pushing until we get the people we want like Danny Garcia, Timothy Bradley or Manny Pacquiao.  I would certainly be willing to travel to the US for Garcia, that’s a great fight.

“I would have been excited to fight the winner of Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter. I was intrigued to see how that went and it was disappointing to hear it was postponed. It does reduce my options for the time being.  I have had some bad luck but if I get no injuries and there are no sticking points I know we can get those big fights.”

A fight with Danny Garcia would be fireworks anywhere but the growing public would surely like for Brook to fight on Neutral ground.  Especially since he has been pent-up in England for his past few fights and we all know Danny wouldn’t have it any other way.  In the meantime, Brook has a date with Kevin Bizier, another addition to one of the fighters not on Brooks hitlist.  Shall he win we will all be watching for a Kell Brook sighting in the US in the near future.
