Erin Elizabeth is a writer for thaboxingvoice.com and TBV's first Canadian correspondent, Erin's fistic odyssey had its precursor in schoolgirl fascinations with Montreal-raised TV legend Arturo Gatti and British-Yemeni international superstar Naseem Hamed, but more recently began in earnest with her introduction to the world of internet boxing forums, where she found herself engaged in the wisdom of seasoned fight-followers and spent countless days and nights feasting on classic wars involving ring-legends such as Marvin Hagler, Thomas Hearns, Chris Eubank and Marco Antonio Barrera, as well as enjoying the talents of modern day crowdpleasers like Kell Brook and Danny Garcia and prospects such as Ricky Lopez and Jorge Diaz.
A super busy mother of two, who currently plies her trade as a qualified make-up expert, Erin looks to marry her equal passion for prose and pugilism in her output for TBV. Of boxing's impact upon her daily consciousness, she will refer to her ritual pre-work motivational viewings of Hagler-Hearns or Barrera-McKinney, or to the antics of her equally boxing-crazed significant other (who, upon receiving a kiss, once yelled the words "She glossed me!" to a crowded London street in homage to British-Zimbabwean heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora).
Erin's first experience of a live fight atmosphere came this past Summer, when she attended the middleweight championship showdown between Sergio Martinez and Julio César Chávez Jr. in Las Vegas - all indicators suggest that she'll be taking a ringside seat at events, big and small, for many years to come.
