Wladimir Klitschko Tyson FuryStamford Bridge or the Emirates Stadium in England for the massive Wladimir Klitschko-Tyson Fury Showdown? It sounds good on paper but for now both sides there is no deal and all that is just speculation. According to Fury’s manager, Mick Hennessy nothing is in place just a date the bout has to happen by.

“We are waiting for a purse bid and as far as I know nothing has been agreed,” Hennessy said to ESPN.com. “I’ve seen the stuff about Chelsea and I don’t know where that has come from, I don’t know anything about it and neither does Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente. The WBA has stipulated the fight has to take place by October 24, and they have not given us a date for the purse bid yet.

Hennessy says the bout will take place in Europe where it makes the most sense. It’s not a definite England will stage the bout because of The Football Premier League being in full effect and because of the Rugby World Cup taking place later this year.

“I’m Tyson’s manager, and there’s nothing to report as yet,” Hennessy said. “The fact that it hasn’t been done yet makes it more likely it will happen in October and it will take place where it makes economical sense. It’s difficult to get venues in the UK around that time because of the Rugby World Cup.”

Klitschko certainly isn’t a stranger to fighting in soccer stadiums, so a clash with Fury is right up his alley. While Klitschko returned to the states in April, the demand for his fight with Fury only makes sense in Europe and would be the last fight on his three-fight HBO deal

“I look forward to fighting back in England or another place,” Klitschko told Sky Sports. “It’s definitely going to be somewhere in Europe. It’s not a fight for the United States.”
