lucasLucas Matthysse’s (36-3, 34 KOs) devastating knockout power has made him a fan favorite amongst the boxing public. In the year 2014 he defeated John Molina in a ‘Fight of the Year’ candidate, and also scored a second round knock out against the formerly undefeated fighter Roberto Ortiz.

To the delight of many, Matthysse plans his return to the ring very soon. According to Boxingscene.com, Matthysse told Fox Deportes, he has a set date in February against an opponent yet to be announced. He stated, “I have a date on February 28th, with two or three opponents [being discussed]. The WBO super lightweight title is vacant at 140 pounds. I’m the number one so right now we are waiting for confirmation on the opponent, the location and date.”
