Luis Rosa coming off of his dominant win over Jorge Diaz on ESPN, took a few moments to talk to Tha Boxing Voice and answer a few questions.  The promising young fighter seems humble, yet confident in the interview.  It looks like he is on a fast track, to rise in the rankings. I want to see what he looks like, in his next fight.

Tha boxing voice asked him about the experience of being on a live nationally televised ESPN – Friday Night Fight card, and his thoughts on the fight itself. Here is what Luis had to say, “It was a great opportunity, I was waiting for a longtime to fight on national TV. I am very thankful for the opportunity, and thankful to go in there and show my talent. I felt like this was going to open the door and get me to the next level.  I fought a great prospect, in his hometown and came out victorious.”

In respect to how many times he intends to fight in 2014. He basically said, “As many as possible, 4 or 5 times.  I want to get to 20 or 21 and 0, by the end of the year.”

They mentioned to Luis that his opponent’s head was snapping back quite a bit and if he felt that the referee, should have stopped the fight. Rosa’s response, “I believe the ref could have stopped it, some refs don’t, he survived.”

He said, “I am ready. I am hungry, I am a young warrior.  I am ready for all the 122lbs., future world champion.” Nice kid, I wish him nothing but the best.  He also seems to be grounded and says all the right things.  It will be interesting to see, how his career plays out.
