Earlier this week rumors began to swirl online stemming from a post from celeb media website TMZ stating that Floyd Mayweather and his crew lured two of his employees whom he suspected of stealing Mayweather’s jewelry to an area and then assaulted the two men causing bodily damage. Allegations of attempted murder and kidnapping were thrown around but so far that is just rumor.

Laura Meltzer who is a public information officer for the Las Vegas Police Department has stated that no one has come forward to file a complaint.

“So I’ve been trying to put this rumor to rest all week,” said Meltzer. We’ve had a variety of reports that have come out stating this event occurred. We have not had a victim come forward and make a report like what is being alleged. Sp, if this event occurred it’s something where the victim has not come forward to the police to make an official complaint.”

Since no complaint has been made by the individuals that were “injured” then there is no reason for the police to take action towards Mayweather.

“If this victim who is choosing not to come forward and make a report, then that’s up to the victim to do. We don’t have any say in that. There is no criminal complaint on file so there is no reason to go and contact Mr. Mayweather.”
