New York, NY (7/16/14) – Manfredi Auto Group, the popular car dealership in Staten Island, NY, has renewed its sponsorship of DiBella Entertainment’s revered and longstanding Broadway Boxing series. The first show of the renewed sponsorship will take place on Wednesday, July 23, at NYC’s famed B.B. King Blues Club and Grill.

Established in 1964, Manfredi Auto Group has always been family owned and operated. Customers have come to expect satisfaction, a family-friendly atmosphere, and personalized service known as “The Manfredi Way”. Overall, there are 14 dealerships all conveniently located on Hylan Boulevard, in Staten Island.

“We’re once again pleased to have Manfredi Auto Group as a featured sponsor of Broadway Boxing,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “Joe and Nick Manfredi are two leaders in their field and Manfredi Auto Group in Staten Island is the place to get a great deal on a new car.”

“I’m thrilled to continue our relationship with DiBella Entertainment. So many of our customers in the tri-state area are boxing fans and more specifically fans of the Broadway Boxing series,” said Joe Manfredi. “I always enjoy hearing from our customers that they saw our brand featured on the show and talking to them about how great the fights are.”

Headlining what promises to be a thrilling night of action on July 23 will be Ireland’s Patrick “The Punisher” Hyland (27-1, 12KO’s) facing Noel Echevarria (11-3, 6KO’s) in an eight-round junior lightweight matchup.

A trio of exciting middleweights will also be featured. Former world title challenger Avtandil Khurtsidze (27-2-2, 16KO’s) will make his highly anticipated return to the ring following an extended absence due to VISA and promotional issues. Ukrainian amateur standouts Ivan Golub (1-0) and the debuting Sergey Derevyanchenko, who both participated in the World Series of Boxing, will see action in separate six-round bouts. Both Ukrainians amassed tremendous records as amateurs with Golub finishing at 270-32 and Derevyanchenko at 390-20.

Local fighters appearing on the card will be DiBella Entertainment-promoted Long Islanders, light heavyweight Joe Smith (15-1, 12KO’s) and junior middleweight Patrick Day (7-0-1, 4KO’s). A rematch of a barnburner that occurred last February will round out the event with Danny Gonzalez (5-0-1, 3KO’s), of Queens, NY, facing Ray Velez (3-4-1, 1KO) in a six-round welterweight matchup.
