    Manny-Pacquiao-vs-Floyd-Mayweather-2

Manny Pacquiao (57-5, 38KO’s) and Amir Khan (30-3, 19KO’s) emerged smiling out of a door beneath a low archway flanked by bodies and into a cacophony of camera flashes.

In a video posted by iFL TV, the pair were shown meeting in London very recently, and consequently the rumour mill has gone into overdrive regarding what this may mean for the future of both fighters.

When the new year began, it looked very likely that Manny would finally meet Floyd Mayweather Jr. After at least five years of anticipation and disappointment, with plans failing to come to a conclusion. Now with more rumours that Floyd may be opting for a rematch with Miguel Cotto instead, Manny seems to be looking elsewhere.

Amir Khan has had his prolonged ordeal with Mayweather himself. He has been chasing a fight with the unbeaten American for the past two years with no success, forgoing the world title fight against Devon Alexander in late 2013 in the process. Now it looks like he too has run out of patience.

Manny and Khan were gym-mates under the tutelage of Freddie Roach where Manny remains, flourishing when fulfilling the aggressive preferences of his trainer. Khan though has moved on to work with Virgil Hunter and has shown significant progression as an all-around fighter in their four fights together. Looking especially polished when he finally took on a now-crown less Devon Alexander, widely outpointing him in December.

The two spurned warriors may combine to create a fight that is sure to be explosive. Manny Pacquiao and Amir Khan both they look happy in this instance to have found an acceptable contingency plan in the absence of a big ‘Money’ fight.
