downloadFresh off his impressive victory over Devon Alexander, Amir Khan threw his name in the Mayweather sweepstakes. Khan has been adamant about getting Mayweather in the ring. But Mayweather seems like he has a different plan.

“Once again Amir Khan, the other night I think he did like 4,000,” Mayweather told ESNEWS. “So Amir Khan, his name holds no weight, no one knows who Amir Khan is but people that’s involved in boxing. My focus is Manny Pacquiao, let’s make it happen.”

Mayweather has been more vocal all week and at the WBC Convention told the media on hand that he feels that Manny Pacquiao and Bob Arum don’t want the fight.

“I’m really not sure like I said before,” explained Mayweather. Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao has been fooling the public for years. I never spoke about the fight. Years later I finally decided to speak about the fight. The first time we didn’t fight because of random blood and urine testing. The second time we didn’t fight because he didn’t want to take the 40 million. Now Bob Arum is trying to throw another excuse out there talking about they don’t want to fight May 2nd. Why not let’s make the fight happen May 2nd.”

The WBC and VADA are set to team up to try and clean the sport of boxing of its performance enhancing drug issues. Mayweather likes the idea, although he feels like he deserves more credit for being an advocate of a clean sport.

“I’m the 1st one to bring random blood and urine testing to professional boxing. One day I’ll get my just due and my props for bringing up drug testing to the sport.”
