Floyd Mayweather Sr. Floyd Mayweather Jr.Not many were impressed with the fight that Manny Pacquiao fought over the weekend against Floyd Mayweather. One, in particular, was the trainer of Mayweather, his father Floyd Sr. Talking to the media after the fight, he said he was unimpressed.

“Where’s all the speed, everybody talking about? Mayweather Sr. questioned. “All that jumping around, he wasn’t able to do much of that. But all the stuff I seen today, he ain’t do nothing spectacular but throw wild punches.”

Mayweather Sr. feels that even if they won convincingly, him and his son would never get the credit they deserve in winning the fight.

“We’ll wait around one year, and we might do it again and win more convincingly,” Mayweather Sr. said. “They never give me the accolades; I don’t think I’ll get a trainer of the year over Freddie Roach.”

Sr. doesn’t feel it was his son’s best performance but think he did well enough to win a wide decision.

“There are a lot of other fights that he fought better, but he didn’t do bad,” Mayweather Sr. stated. “It could have been worse than that. He looked better than Manny. His best performance, I think it was Arturo Gatti.”

Mayweather also feels it might be time for Pacquiao to call it a career.

“I think Manny Pacquiao want to go and get over with anyway. It doesn’t get bigger than Floyd. He can’t whoop anybody like Floyd in this weight class,” explained Mayweather Sr.

But he was so unimpressed with Pacquiao that he doesn’t feel a rematch is in other.

“He made so many mistakes; he was wild all night,” Mayweather Sr. said.” I ain’t never seen him throw one straight punch, throw one hook. Manny looked terrible. It (a rematch) ain’t worth watching. I don’t think as many people paid for it this time, won’t pay for it again. It ain’t necessary to do it again because the same thing going to happen.

Regarding s September for son, the trainer said, “I have no idea.”
