Dontae’s Boxing Nation sat down with the self proclaimed greatest trainer of all time, Floyd Mayweather Sr. and I was riveted as always. The topic of discussion for the interview was Mike Tyson’s recent statement that Mayweather Jr. would be “tested” for the first time in his fight with Pacquiao.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. immediately took offense to the assertion that Floyd Jr. has never been “tested” and responded in kind with a hint of incredulity.
“Floyd Mayweather now been tested 47 times! Floyd… Mayweather… Jr… came out victorious… forty… Seven… times! [Tyson], Roy Jones, all of’em forget about it, their time is over. It’s dead news. Ain’t nothin’ to talk about no more.”
It’s like you can’t win with the Mayweather clan. Everyone on team Mayweather insists that Floyd has been able to coast to victory in every one of his fights. They say he wins how he wants to win. They say he only gets hit when he wants to put on an entertaining fight.
Mike Tyson more or less agrees with everything they have been saying and says Floyd has never been tested and everyone loses their minds. The Floyd fans get upset, the dad gets upset, the cousin gets upset… Anyway, let’s get to the part where Floyd Sr. blames America…
